Enhancing teacher practices in academic instruction, behavior management and creating equitable learning climates, and
Providing teacher workshops/conferences on topical issues.

Integrated Swimming Instruction:
Integrated Swimming Instruction can be a great way to support the strengths of special needs students, newcomers, and/or English learners outside of their academic program.
While this may seem obvious as an after-school activity, I actually promote this as a wonderful in-school activity because swimming time/lessons can be a great way to capitalize on kids’ energy and motivation.
Swimming can be a great connector to math, science, dance, music and so many other skills! It’s a fantastic way to engage students in the academic curriculum.

My Approach Is:
Collaborative:
Rather than coming in as an expert with all the answers, my approach is to listen to your needs and develop an implementation plan that’s doable and considers your needs. As a constructivist, …What are you currently doing that would make you open to what I’m bringing?
Practical:
Use an action research approach - we make a plan, put it into action, then analyze the data to see what’s working and what we can change. Making adjustments as needed in order to deliver the target goal.
Accountable:
I am committed to the plan we develop and the results that we get. We lwill work together to meet the needs of the students, the teachers, and administration.
